I’ve been gone all weekend at a retreat. (Almost wish it hadn’t ended.) It was *so* good. Bonded with people from church and I really feel freedom and victory. .
I also recently tapped back into what really gives me energy to keep going. I had forgotten where my inspiration comes from. Ultimately, it’s God. But beyond the Sunday school answer is my muse. Part of this comes from loving studio ghibli so much. I’ll admit to that. 😂 The rest comes from my life growing up. .

I live on a teeny tiny farm where we’ve raised goats and sheep and cows and horses and chickens and ducks and rabbits. I’m a food snob (with pride) from eating things grown in the garden and cooked by my awesome mom. I love being outside. Cooking and baking are a comfort. Hanging laundry on the line is practically a treat in the summer.

I’ve been dealing with stress and burnout and I came to the conclusion that I had lost my inspiration. I needed to tap back into my fuel source. Again, it’s ultimately God, but it’s through simple living. I love being surrounded by green and life. I love getting my hands (and feet) dirty. I like working hard with my body and seeing what comes of it. Watching little seeds eventually become dinner is rewarding. Raising tiny animals is a wonderful investment to me. The beauty found in simple farm life feeds my soul. And now I shall end my very long post that is the equivalent to a very hungry caterpillar.

Genera ansiedad y depresión. Puede colapsarnos y terminar en #burnout. Es especialmente importante cuando hay mucho #Virgo y #Capricornio recordar que el ocio no es perder el tiempo. El tiempo libre es salud porque reequilibrio nuestra psique. Nos da tiempo para procesar, para bajar un cambio, para relajarnos. 💃.

Pero cuando el estrés ya está muy instalado ni siquiera se puede disfrutar del descanso porque la que sigue encendida es la mente que no para bombardeando de imágenes, información y preocupaciones 🤪.

Por eso lo mejor es la #profilaxis.  No hay que permitir que el estrés se apodere de nuestras vidas. Todos los días hay que hacer cosas para bajar la ansiedad y el malestar, aunque sean pequeñas cosas.

. A mí me sirvieron dos cosas: #yoga 🧘(casi todos los días) y no sobrecargar la agenda📑. Como tengo mucho Virgo solía pensar que la vida es trabajo, y así estaba 12 horas diarias trabajando. Aprendí que tengo que respetar mis tiempos y horarios, que demasiados pacientes por día no es lo mejor, intento distribuirlo, y darme momentos para mí. A veces no se puede elegir y no queda otra, pero si se puede al menos hay que intentarlo. Si no podés hacer yoga, al menos respirá consciente. En el colectivo 🚌, en la cola de supermercado, en el baño. Cuando notes que la cabeza rumia, frená y respirá profundo.

1st Breakfast in Tulum, Mexico: Green smoothie (spinach, cucumber, parsley, lime) and nopal (local Mexican veggie)/tomatoes/red onions salad with an avocado sauce and amaranth popcorn. 
I’ve never been able to make amaranth popcorn myself, I was so excited to try it! It brought a nice little crunch to that very creamy and fresh salad. 🍅🥑🍿 Other pic: Diner last night of guacamole and pineapple/mint/cardamom kombucha. Gave me ideas for my own kombucha making, I would have never thought about adding cardamom and it was amazing!! 😋🤩 I am trying to learn to travel while listening to my body’s cues of hunger, thirst and need for rest. This is a bit of an experiment as I usually go from starving to super full (hard not to finish your plate/juice when you pay for it and it’s delish, am I right??) and super sleepy few times a day on holidays... Es geht in Babysteps aufwärts, für mich war es ein produktiver Anfang, gerade nach einer Ewigkeit mal meine Highlight-Cover zu erstellen und hochzuladen 😰 gleich wird noch eine Journaling Session gehalten ✍️.

Ich habe anlässlich meines Zustands 3️⃣ TIPPS, für dich vorbereitet, die mir immer helfen, wenn ich mich überladen fühle (und dir hoffentlich auch 🌚):
1️⃣ Erkenne deinen Overload und finde die Ursache - ist es zu viel Input, den du bekommst? Ist deine To-Do Liste zu lang? Oder haderst du mit einer Deadline? Unkraut bekämpfen fängt bei der Wurzel an ☝🏼🌱
2️⃣ Total Shutdown 💥! Und mit total meine ich total. Du kennst die Ursache? Sehr gut! Dann distanziere dich jetzt von ihr! Klapp‘ deine Agenda, deinen Laptop oder dein Handy zu, entferne dich - zunächst physisch. Wie heißt es noch gleich? „Aus den Augen aus dem Sinn!“ - und das funktioniert WIRKLICH!
3️⃣ Du kennst die Ursache, du hast dich distanziert. Dann ist es jetzt Zeit für die Wiederannäherung: Bereite dich mental vor. Sieh die Ursache des Overloads nicht als deinen Feind! 🙅🏽‍♀️ Frag dich 💭: Was an meiner Herangehensweise war nicht optimal und hat zum Overload geführt? Und wie kann ich es dieses Mal besser machen? Du hast die Antworten bereits in dir - Höre und fühle in dich rein. Und dann klappt es auch schnell wieder mit dem produktiven (Ab-)Arbeiten 🤗! Bloomie-Promise 💖

We live on a polarity planet, and the polarity is what gives it life. Our planet lives between the Sun (father energy, day, warmth) and the Moon (mother energy, night, coolness) and the polarity between them is the energy that feeds us.

Just like a battery where energy flows between 2 poles, negative and positive, so does energy flow within us and between people. We are drawn to our opposites because they have the most to teach us and they balance us. Polarity is what makes energy flow.

All that energy is, is life force, prana, chi, kundalini energy. Whatever spiritual heritage you hail from, it’s all the same: it’s love. When we’re feeling low, depressed, stressed, or depleted, it’s our life force that is low. The flow of energy is restricted, like a water hose with a kink in it.

So when you feel this restriction in your flow, just remember, you are love that flows between polarities, and turning on the flow is easier than you think. The switch may be found in breathwork and contemplative meditation, in selfless service and healing childhood wounds.

The healing requires only one demand for it to work - and that is daily dedication. Consistent Practice. Time spent with your soul.

Do you ever look at people who seem to have it all together? They are striving for perfection in every aspect of their life. Everything needs to look perfect or else it isn’t good enough. 
In the beginning of my college career, I strived to be one of those people. I would stay up countless nights to the point where everything I had studied through the night would go right out of my head when I took the exam. I had to look put together everyday even after I had numerous breakdowns the night before. I was surrounded by people who made never ending to do lists and sometimes spent more time making the lists than on what was necessary. Their world seemed perfect but why wasn’t mine? 
Fast forward to last summer, I felt burnt out and totally unmotivated about life itself. That experience redefined “hard work” for me. Hard work means to give it your all but it doesn’t mean that you need to sacrifice your mind and body in order to do that. There needs to be a balance and just like working out too much can be harmful, overworking our brain results in burn out.
I still find it hard to recover from old habits but I see a significant increase in my happiness, grades and the quality of my life whenever I focus on creating somewhat of a balance in my life (you don’t have to get it right the first time)
Just wanted to let you know that just because someone else’s life seems put together doesn’t mean that your’s is a mess. You only see what they put out since they seek perfection, their image has to be perfect as well. Remember that it is okay to sleep 8 hours or more, it is okay to eat junk food, it is okay to fall and get back up over and over again. Do not become so infatuated with the idea of perfection that you loose the excitement for life. Life is uncertain and because it is uncertain, there are infinite possibilities. Everything does not need to be in control, simply let go, put in your best effort and set limits to take care of your mental and physical health. You cannot help others if you can’t help yourself.
