This original post is from 2 months ago. But it feels so much longer. It only got 19 likes at the time, and I remember being slightly discouraged. But I kept posting, because I love this franchise more than almost any video game. I was scrolling through my page earlier and just remembering trying to pump out super high quality content all the time. And I still do, everyday. But just seeing where my account was then and where it is now is extremely humbling, and I mean that in the best way possible. I guess I feel a disconnect with just posting memes all the time, but I'm really starting to realize that the page is fine for what is, and I can even say it's good. And I should stop beating myself up and just do my thing and make Red Dead content I love because I fucking love this game and editing videos. I'm not sure how many of you will read this, but I just wanted to say thank you, to all of you. You guys simply liking and interacting with content I make and just sharing in this fucking amazing game makes me feel so much gratitude. Red Dead really has a dope ass community of people that appreciate it's beauty and scale, but can also meme it up hard and just laugh about alllll the Red Dead things you'll only get if you actually played the game. The first Red Dead was truly groundbreaking in its time. Yet what Red Dead 2 has pulled off in sheer scale of map size and graphics is truly a modern marvel. All open world games have just had the bar set so fucking high for the sheer realism the graphics provide; gun and clothing detail, lighting textures, etc. I love how Rockstar's games get better and better. The first Red Dead was a different game for me. It fuckin had an impact most games didn't. I actually cared about John Marston, and thought of him as a real person, and valued the lessons he had to learn, as well as teach. They stuck with me. And I wanted to carry the torch in a way. I wanted to revitalize the series with all the others that experienced what I did in the first game.
And if you didn't get to for some reason, because of age or circumstances, I wanted to be there to see Arthur do for others what John did for me. 👊 #RDR2
